While refinishing the basement, there was an opportunity to build a dedicated space for an externally vented spray booth. The booth is a Paasche model HSSB-30-16 with dual 6″ inline extraction fans moving 540 cubic feet of air per minute which takes away noxious fumes quickly. I can attest that rattle-cans readily exceed this capacity, but it is perfect for airbrushing. The Paasche unit is 31″ wide x 18″ tall x 21″ deep and is adequate for most O scale freight car and engine painting/weathering.

Next to the booth is a set of Ikea SEKTION cabinets – perfect for storing paint and airbrush equipment. These have an easy-to-clean finish in case of paint spills and come in a variety of drawer sizes.
